Privacy Policy

1. What this policy covers

This privacy policy applies to the Myatlastic website (myatlastic.com), the Myatlastic app on iOS and Android, and the Myatlastic web app. "Myatlastic", "we", and "us" refer to Vertotech LLC, the operator of the service.

2. Information we collect — almost nothing

What we don't collect

• We do not require an account. You can use Myatlastic without signing in.
• We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or addresses through the app.
• We do not collect location data.
• We do not use third-party analytics (no Google Analytics, no Mixpanel, no Amplitude).
• We do not use advertising SDKs or ad tracking identifiers.
• We do not access your contacts, photos, microphone, or camera.

What we do store, locally on your device

• Your streak count for the daily challenge.
• Your subscription status (free or Pro).
• Quiz preferences like difficulty.

This data is stored on your device only (using localStorage on web, or app sandbox storage on mobile). It never leaves your device and is not sent to us. Uninstalling the app or clearing browser data removes all of it.

What we collect if you contact us

If you email us at privacy@vertotech.io or support@myatlastic.com, we receive your email address and whatever you write to us. We use this only to reply to you. We do not add you to any marketing list without your explicit opt-in.

3. Children's privacy (COPPA / GDPR-K)

Myatlastic is designed for users of all ages, including children under 13 (with parental supervision). We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) in the US and the General Data Protection Regulation children's provisions (GDPR-K) in the UK and EU.

For children under 13:

• We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
• No account creation, no email signup, no social features.
• No behavioural advertising to children. We have no ads of any kind.
• The "Kids mode" toggle in the app provides an age-appropriate interface but does not change our data practices, because we don't collect data either way.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information through Myatlastic (for example, by emailing us), please contact privacy@vertotech.io and we will delete it.

4. Subscription payments

Subscriptions are processed by Apple App Store (on iOS) or Google Play (on Android). When you subscribe:

• Apple or Google handles your payment information directly. We never see your credit card or billing details.
• Apple or Google confirms your subscription status to our subscription manager (RevenueCat), which returns only whether your "Pro" entitlement is active. That entitlement status is the only thing we receive about your purchase.

Apple's, Google's, and RevenueCat's privacy policies apply to data they process during the transaction.

5. Third-party services we use

To keep Myatlastic working, we rely on a few external services that briefly receive technical data (your IP address and browser type) when you use the app:

• Wikimedia Commons — landmark images load from commons.wikimedia.org.
• Google Fonts — typefaces load from fonts.googleapis.com.
• open.er-api.com — live exchange rates for the currency converter.
• RevenueCat — validates App Store / Google Play subscriptions and reports your Pro entitlement status.
• CDNs (unpkg / jsDelivr) — the 3D globe library and globe texture load from these CDNs.

None of these services receive personal data from us. They see only the request your browser would send to any image, font, or API URL.

6. Cookies

The Myatlastic website uses no cookies. The web app uses localStorage only, which is functionally similar but is not transmitted to any server.

7. Your rights

Because we don't collect personal data, most data subject rights (access, deletion, portability) don't generate work for us — there's nothing to access, delete, or port. If you want us to delete any email you've sent us, just ask: privacy@vertotech.io.

Under GDPR (EU/UK), you have the right to:

• Request a copy of any personal data we hold (almost certainly: none)
• Request deletion of any personal data we hold
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

Under CCPA (California), you have the right to know what personal data is collected (none), the right to deletion (no data to delete), and the right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights.

8. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect any data we hold. Because we hold essentially no data, this is a small obligation. We operate no backend database of our own. Email correspondence is stored with our email provider; subscription and entitlement status is handled by Apple, Google, and RevenueCat under their own security practices.

9. Changes to this policy

If we ever change our privacy practices (for example, adding optional account features), we will update this policy and post a notice in the app. Material changes will require explicit re-consent.
